Ftp And Windows Explorer

Hi, I cannot seem to use FTP from explorer.exe on Windows 8 64bit without turning off Bitdefender firewall.

I note in the Firewall General Rules that there is a rule for "Windows Explorer traffic on FTP" but detting this to allow does not make a difference.

I have Bitdefender Total Security.

Ant help appreciated!

have you tried with filezilla? might work better and you get more control over file transfers

Hi, yes I have tried filezilla and works ok. I just wondered why Bitdefender could not be configured to work eith Windows explorer and FTP.

Not sure, I've always had ftp connection issues with explorer regardless of the security package installed.
