Ftp And Windows Explorer

Hi, I cannot seem to use FTP from explorer.exe on Windows 8 64bit without turning off Bitdefender firewall.
I note in the Firewall General Rules that there is a rule for "Windows Explorer traffic on FTP" but detting this to allow does not make a difference.
I have Bitdefender Total Security.
Ant help appreciated!

have you tried with filezilla? might work better and you get more control over file transfers

Hi, yes I have tried filezilla and works ok. I just wondered why Bitdefender could not be configured to work eith Windows explorer and FTP.0 -
Not sure, I've always had ftp connection issues with explorer regardless of the security package installed.
