Deleted Documents Ms Word And Excel After Installing

I loaded your bitdefender yesterday-then after restarting I discovered it wiped out a ton of documents as wellas anything dated after 1/2014
I am a business and need those spreadsheets ASAP
It also reloaded items that were deleted, changed my screen appearance, wouldnt allow me to restore.
So I unistalled and still a restore did not bring back my files
