Rescue Cd Not Working
I see two different ISO files and have tried them both and cannot close the deal on getting them to scan my HD. Both versions burned to CD and successfully get them to provide the opening graphic at boot but after selecting it to scan the HD I get a quick blast of text about 15 lines long and the machine hangs and hangs, screen goes black but the computer does not shut down. Left it like this overnight, no luck. Tried the second option for troubleshooting and it goes through its list of actions and then prompts for a login and I used "livecd" and then I get an odd $ command line and it won't take anything at that point.
I really need to boot with the rescue disc but have no clue why I can't get it done. The links on how to create the disks are no longer valid, http://www.bitdefender.com/support/how-to-...cue-cd-627.html but I don't believe that that is the issue as it will boot with CD it just won't run the scan.
Have Total Security 2015, running Windows 8.1.
What am I missing???

Have you tried "startx" without the quotes after entering "livecd"? I'm no expert, but that worked for me.
