Malwarebytes Forums Being Flagged

I visit the Malwarebytes Forums almost daily and in the last few weeks, the "http" has a red slash through it, on all index pages, and on many of the posts. The address is: https://forums.malwarebytes.org. I am not sure why this is happening. Disabling "Scan SSL" resolves the problem, but why is it occurring at all?

    Hi Phil,

Looks like you are using Google Chrome, can't compare as I don't use it but I have no problems with Firefox.

    Ro.

Edit: Not seeing it on IE 11 either.

  • Thanks, Ro. I am using Chrome. Works better on that site than IE11. Still, I think that, regardless of browser, BD should not be flagging this site.

    Have a great day.

As I posted on another thread I had a similar tempory problem; i.e. the error message in Firefox was similar to yours in Chrome. However, mine was with a different website. I did a restart and it went away.

Thanks for your comments. I shut down my computer daily and restart the next day, so rebooting has not had any effect on the issue for me. This has been going on for weeks now and it is clear that it is a bug in the program having to do with its SSL scanning module inserting its own BD certificates or some such thing. In addition to the red slash mark through the "https" on sites like malwarebytes.org, there are other websites being flagged with a yellow triangle, which also indicates a BD security caution.

It would be great if Georgia would address this issue. I am not alone with this issue.

Thanks again and have a great day.

    Regards,
