Auto Renew Not Authorized


I just got an e-mail from Bitdefender / Avangate saying I have Auto Renew setup and I will be charged $89.95 even though I have 121 days of service left and the price on the BD Website is $49.95

I do not have Auto Renew set up nor do I want Auto Renew. I will renew manually a few days before my Subscription expires.  I have the 5 License version of Total Security 2017.

I want the Auto Renew stopped and I do not authorize any charges on my account from Bitdefender / Avangate at this time.

    Hi...When purchasing from Avangate, auto renewal is set by default. To cancel auto renewal you must open an Avangate account and uncheck the box. You must do this every time you renew your BD subscription. To solve your current problem you can try  sending an email to

  • Thanks I had already contacted Bitdefender support directly.  I just added this post as an assurance thinking I might get the attention of someone who works for BD. I keep forgetting this forum is not the first place to go for support. The Auto Pay has been canceled by another Bitdefender employee.
