Ok my "friend" has been inundated with this text on the very 1st day after i set it up. I of course did a google search and found this thread (but it has no resolution):

/index.php?/topic/39716-the-sim-in-your-friends-phone-has-been-changed/&do=embed">

I also found this link:

https://www.bitdefender.com/support/consumer/mobile-security

As soon as you click the link on the page that is referring to the issue:

"The SIM in your friend's phone has been changed": how to prevent Bitdefender Mobile Security from sending these text messages on Project Fi networks

it just redirects you to the bitdefender support center site with no information about the issue. So is there any work around for this issue other than turning the feature off. I realize Google Fi switches between cellular networks (Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellelar) but has there been any kind of work around?

  • Hello,

At this time there is no fix for the reported issue.

The workaround is to clear the cache and keep the feature disabled unfortunately.
