Can't get Chrome Remote Desktop to work between windows devices within same network.

I'm not able to connect to my Windows system running Chrome Remote Desktop within the same network. I can connect to it over the internet just not within my home network. Mobile devices connect fine within the same network.

I've verified that my network mode is set to home and tried allowing the chrome RDP processes through the firewall to no avail.

 

I'm currently having to remote to my system with my phone and toggle the firewall off if I want to connect to my PC from the other side of my house.

Hello Kiyomaka,

Please add the following  rule in the Firewall and check if it works:

- open Bitdefender

- click on Protection

- under Firewall click on Settings

- click on Add rule

- check the option "Apply this rule yo all applications"

- on Protocol select TCP

- then go to Advanced tab

- add the port on Custom Local Address ( in case the IP does not change, add the IP as well)
