I want Antivirus_Free_Edition_x64 and I want to know why it disappeared and won't install anymore.

I want a portable one I can run from an external drive

I want my bit defender antivirus back . . . WITHOUT the other intrusive functions

There is no portable antivirus created by bitdefender. Third party websites tend to make that, but bitdefender is against those.

The chances of using old free version of bitdefender is not good. It is always advisable to use the latest new version because of below stated reasons:

1) You may/ maynot receive latest signatures updates which will end up getting your PC infected if you do not have the latest signatures related to new malware developed every second.

2) The latest version of free version has behaviour blocking which is an additional protection with respective to traditional signature based detection cretade by malware researchers.

3) The old version is only dependent on signatures and in present world it is not advisable to be totally dependent on signature based detection only.

4) If you want to download old version of bitdefender free, you can download it from (https://www.filehorse.com/download-bitdefender/ -select version according to your need), but be aware that if your PC gets infected, bitdefender will not be held responsible since you yourself have made your mind to use the old version and you have already been warned of the consequences.

Thank you for your effort; there is no way of telling what versions are listed and none of them are 64 bit . . .so I will just give up and run without antivirus until I can find a stand alone one

Hi Member,

Kindly go through the website again. It is clearly mentioned which file is 64 bit or 32 bit. For the file where there is no 64 bit or 32 bit mentioned, that file is the online installer.
