I need assistance

I have had a Bitdefender account for almost a year, and haven't been able to install it successfully since purchase. Each time I try it appears to either log me into a redirected site, or installs a malicious version of Bitdefender. I can see in the Windows Registry that there is an infection, as well as the windows32 folders. Please help. Thank you!

1) Kindly confirm from where you are downloading the bitdefender product.

2) Share the url of the redirected website in a notepad and attach it to your reply.

3) Which bitdefender product are you trying to download.

Thanks for your reply.

I am in the United States. I am trying to download Antivirus software.

I am downloading it from my account when I log in to the "portal" that looks similar to Gmail sign in. Unfortunately I can't attach the txt file to this post - I tried, but it got stuck in a loop and I had to shut down and open my browser again.

Kindly follow below steps.

1) Reset your browser

Chrome : https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/3296214?hl=en

2) Restart PC in safe mode (https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/help/12376/windows-10-start-your-pc-in-safe-mode)

3) Open run command and run below command one by one :

temp ,delete all the files in the folder

%temp% ,delete all the files in folder

prefetch ,delete all the files in folder

4) Restart your PC in general mode by unticking the option that you selected to run the system in safe mode and then click apply.

5) Install & run malwarebytes free : https://data-cdn.mbamupdates.com/web/mb4-setup-consumer/offline/mb4-setup-consumer-4.2.3.195-1.0.1104-1.0.32494.exe

6) Install & run bitdefender (either free or paid version)

After you install your required product from above stated direct online installer, a central windows will open and you will only have to input your login details and your product will get activated as per your subscription.
