Honeyminer.com Crypto Mining Software
Hi, does anyone have experience with HoneyMiner? Bitdefender flagged it for having a virus, but it is "supposedly" a legitimate firm. Here is one of the quarantined files, there were four others, as well:
The file C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Temp\bdsyslog\mem_Honey Miner.exe_33624_1097cee0000_1097cf10000_private_RW-.dmp is infected with Gen:Variant.Razy.807696. The threat has been successfully blocked, your device is safe.

The setup file is a coinminer and hence it was quarantined. Some AV vendors detect it as coinminer.

Thanks, Flexx. Their software is Digitally Certified and they claim it is virus free. Can you advise whether Bitdefender's quarantining of the product is a false positive? If it is a trojan I won't use it, but if it is free of viruses then yes. Thanks.

Can you pm me the exact file, by zipping it and sending me or can you just share the virustotal link of the quarantined file, by first disabling your real time protection, unquarantine the file and upload it on virustotal and after that enabling your real time protection.
Your PC will not be harmed until you will not execute the file, so there is nothing to worry while disabling the real time protection. May be you may have some other version of the said software which is detected by bitdefender.
