Trafficlight blocking all sites - even bitdefender.com!!

I run Bitdefender on three Macs and use Firefox as my browser. It has the trafficlight addon installed.
Over the past few days one mac has been blocking nearly all websites. It displays a page saying it could find no suspicious activity but gives no more information other than a page full of other information which seems to be irrelevant.
Todya, on the mc I am using, it is also now blocking nearly all sites - even bitdefender.com. Whenever I click on a search link in duckduckgo (e.g. community.bitdefender.com) I get a "Unable to Connect" error to trafficlight.bitdefender.com and all browsing fails.

To repor this I have had to disable the trafficlight addon and bitdefender shield and restart firefox.

Just realised this is in the wrong forum. what an incredibly complicated website - and such poor navigation tools.
