Install bitdefender on an offline PC that you know is infected.

Hi.

I have a PC I cannot bring online due to the fact it is sending out private information in an alarming rate. How do I install bitdefender on this PC? This PC has not been in use for 2 years due to this infection. I need too prepare the PC offline.

Pls help.

While there is a way around to install bitdefender total security offline, but even if you install it offline, you will have to connect it to internet to activate the bitdefender product at first place. Without activating, the product will not work.

What kind of PC is it? Desktop or laptop? How technically adept are you? Do you have access to spare disk drives?

For me, I would pull out the hard disk drive (or SSD) and replace it with a clean drive and install a clean version of Windows, then Bitdefender. Then install the original disk as a clean second disk and use Bitdefender to scan it. This requires spare parts and is something that a PC repair shop might be better equipped to do. The repair shop might also have an isolated PC that is dedicated to scanning infected disks.
