How does Bitdefender Antivirus Plus indicate that a website is safe to open?

My previous antivirus program showed green shields & checkmarks next to websites. Now hen browsing I don't see any indication of 'safe' websites. Have I failed to download something or is does Bitdefender use a different indicator that I am just not noticing?
