Phishing link on Bit Defender Page

Options

When i click on the hidden icons tab at the bottom of my laptop and open the bitdefender app everything seems fine, then when i click on the "switch account " at the top right hand side to login to the central page a page pops up asking for my email and password as normal; the only thing is this page seems to have bad resolution compared to the login screen i get when i open from a browser, it

does not sit right with me. Also when i click on the apple logo it brings up another prompt that does not look like my computer screen. it looks as though ive got a remote screen from another computer, can any professionals shed some light on thie issue, its worrying me.

The pic below is the resolutio when using a login page from a web browser. as you can see ist crystal clear compared to the others

I do not have an apple account or id i just clicked the option out of curiosity. i am using Brave Browser and a new lenovo yoga laptop.

Please can anyone help me this is so frustrating.

    Hi @David Brown

You're fine, there is no phishing attempt happening with you. When I use the Switch Account button on the BD Dashboard, the login window is a bit "fuzzier". It's probably because it's BD embedded login in page just to switch accounts, and not to get to the online web browser Central itself, even though it will sync with Central to "switch" accounts.

To log into Central, use the link to the right, or just type in the web browser address bar, central.bitdefender.com where all the detail is sharp and crisp like we're use to.

Since you are using a Windows PC and not an Apple device, you may get the ****** error, as I did too, on Windows 11. Just don't click on the little apple :)

edit: bonus information :) If you want the Bitdefender icon to show in the system tray, please follow these steps: https://www.technewstoday.com/windows-11-show-all-taskbar-icons/

Also, if you enable the Security Widget by right clicking the system tray icon, Show Security Widget, or from the main BD Dashboard, left side Settings/Security Widget, you can launch BD from there by ticking in the middle of it.
