How can I turn off the anti spam toolbar in TB?
Hi,
how can I permanently deactivate the Bitdefender anti-spam toolbar in Thunderbird? Turning the anti-spam module off in Bitdefender has no influence and if I deactivate the add-on in Thunderbird (or even delete the *.xpi file in the profile) it’s back again after restart.
I asked the same via email form to the support – but no answer yet.
Any tips?

I came here looking for the same answer. It's really annoying that the toolbar keeps coming back. I don't need or want it. Hopefully someone answers this post!

Can not turn off/un-install Bitdefender in Thunderbird 102.6.1
Same problem... this is a show-stopper. If I can't get this fixed; will need to deploy another anti-virus option.

Kindly contact the bitdefender support by visiting https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/ and scroll down to the bottom of the webpage where you can get in touch with support representative either by email, chat or over a call.
Alternatively, you can also share your query with bitdefender support team by dropping them an email at bitsy@bitdefender.com
The support team will reply back to your query within next 24-48 hours excluding weekends.

I have the same issue, can't disable the plugin in Thunderbird and if I delete the xpi manually, it just comes back after restarting. If there is a solution to this, it would be nice if it could be posted here or somewhere else public, since this is cleary still a problem for many people. Bitdefender just forcing a plugin with extensive permissions on me that I don't want or need is unacceptable. If there is no fix for this, I'm gonna have to look for another AV solution.

Incredible that for two years Bitdefender is aware of the issue users are having. So now I've requested the moneyback - refund for the issue present 2 years as there is no official solution rather community workarounds. Just incredible.
