Restrict access keeps glitching

Hello Community: I'm having trouble when I place a password to restrict access to BitDefender settings. Here is the deal; I set a password, then use the password several times logging in and out and the password works. I have the password written down of course. Then after maybe several weeks or months, I go to use the same password, POW! access denied due to incorrect password. Mind you I've written the password down and tried it several times before and it worked, but when I try to log in several weeks or months later, access is denied due to an incorrect password. I've uninstalled and reinstalled BitDefender once before for this same problem. Please let me know if it's not my imagination. This is my second go-around.

    Hello.

    Are we talking about the "Password protection" under Settings -> General, which restricts access to Bitdefender settings?

    If so, you have only 2 options:

    • Uninstall the Bitdefender program using the Uninstall Tool:

    It will completely remove the program.

    Next, reinstall Bitdefender from your Bitdefender Central account.

    • Contact Bitdefender Consumer Support by chat, telephone or e-mail:

    and they will assist you with the issue.

    Hi @Alex620

    Just to follow-up with @Gjoksi's post, I would get a hold of Support and the report the issue. Bitdefender shouldn't be losing track of your password after weeks or months, but only if you had to uninstall it, in which case it needs to be created again.
