Just in looking at it in general, they're disabling all the key protection modules of Bitdefender, then running this test, and then re-enabling them and that BD should catch it?

Let's try running it with all the modules enabled up-front, and then see what happens?

Dando un'occhiata al video, prima tutto viene disattivato per analizzare il comportamento senza protezione e poi attivandolo vediamo che Bitdefender Total Security interviene bene e blocca l'attacco di scansione delle porte.

Sono curioso di capire se questo comportamento di protezione si verifica allo stesso modo per la versione gratuita di Bitdefender e anche per quella Plus.

Quindi in questo caso vorrei capire se interviene solo il componente firewall e blocca l'attacco o anche altri componenti di protezione.

Hi,

It won't work, port scan protection is related to the Firewall which is not enabled in AV Free & AV Plus.

A firewall can prevent unauthorized access to a private network. It controls ports and their visibility, as well as detects when a port scan is in progress before shutting it down and I think the Windows firewall should have this ability as well, but I'm not entirely sure.. it has a Port Scanning Prevention Filter by the looks of it.

Port scan protection is part of the Bitdefender Firewall, it detects and blocks attempts to find out which ports are open. Port scans are frequently used by hackers to find out which ports are open on your device. They might then break into your device if they find a less secure or vulnerable port.

Too bad it doesn't have this protection in these versions(free and plus).

You need to figure out if the Windows firewall does it.

Kaspersky Security Cloud Free blocks this type of attack.
