Hello @Bluesy
Bitdefender DCI is a component of Bitdefender's security solution that is designed to provide network protection. It appears as a VPN service on your Mac, but it's not a traditional VPN that encrypts your internet connection or changes your IP address. Instead, it's a network extension that helps Bitdefender monitor and filter your network traffic to protect against threats.
More details about this can be found in https://www.bitdefender.com/business/support/en/77209-157498-install-security-agents---use-cases.html#UUID-0d1c1e8f-1e59-113c-0fe3-de0a2c39d989
If you are sure that you do not need this feature you can try one of the following:
- Disable the Network Protection module (access the endpoint policy and disable the module https://www.bitdefender.com/business/support/en/77209-342964-general.html#UUID-7a762905-3544-7885-d4f5-7110909909d5)
- Execute a Reconfigure Agent task and remove the Network Protection module (https://www.bitdefender.com/business/support/en/77209-155163-running-tasks-on-endpoints.html#UUID-834f8c3c-825c-0d82-1f98-bd1194ebb8bb)

And what will be a summary of the solution, should we have it or not on endpoints?

Yes, it is highly recommend it to have it on endpoints as through this system extension we provide traffic filtering features and disabling it you would lose this extra layer of protection at the network level.
