Bitdefender Keeps Turning Av Autoscan & Sync Off And On

Hello, just installed BitDefender 2012 total security on a newly formatted PC.


The program keeps reporting the following types of messages and I have to manually go in and turn the services back on, please help!


The messages are like follows:


Autoscan settings changed <date>


Safebox autosync settings changed <date>


I have to manually open up the control panel and re-enable the services, is the program just updating itself or?


I'm worried about the potential lapses in security...

  • Hello: I have the same problem. After weeks of trying to figure the problem out, I found that if I shut my Screen saver off, then the Events would stop. I was curious, so I ran a test. I cleared out my Events and set my screen saver to turn on in 1 minute. I let it go for a minute or two then moved my mouse to deactivate the screen saver and went back to the Bitdefender Events tab and found that the Events had deactivated and activated to the same times my screen saver test went on.


    I am still waiting to here back from Bitdefender on why this happens
