How Safe Is Safepay?

I tried it last week, when you click on the banking log in page, safepay auto loads to its own browser.

1. how do i confirm if the safepay is safe? eg: if i want to confirm a website is secure i usually go to padlock and it will say the verified details and encryption level.

Safepay just loads a separate browser which does show any encryption level.

So how do i know everytime i use safepay its safe to use it and how do i know if safepay sores my passwords?

Also is safepay like linux cd where tech experts say its safer then using Windows.

Safepay handles certificate errors and simply blocks requests with expired/invalid certificates.

I'm not sure what the question is; would you like to see a SSL indicator, did I get this right?

Safepay uses a separate location (not shared with any other browser) protected by the self protect feature.

Safepay is not a live CD. It is an executable running on your Windows session but with many countermeasures against malware. You can find them on the Safepay forum features page.

Something like ssl padlock display would be nice.

Like my question asked, if i am a security freak that needs to check if the encryption is doing its job, how do i check if safepay is know compromised?

    Anyway thank you responding

A request to display the SSL information is in analysis; I will add this to Safepay in the near future.

The SSL padlock (that we'll do) + certificate verification already present in Safepay (implemented a month ago) which blocks sites with certificate errors (*any* errors) + SSL protection enabled from product. Does this answer your question?

    Hi Cristian,

Is there any update on this? I have just tried out Safepay, in the 'new' Bitdefender, but I see no padlock.

With the utmost respect, all we seem to have at the moment is your verbal confirmation that Safepay is secure. That's a bit like a doctor saying to his patient, "There's nothing wrong with you", without doing any tests. <img class=" /> It would give me greater confidence in using Safepay to actually see some evidence that it is 'working' securely, rather than just being told that it is. :)

Certificate display is currently in progress and I am confident that will appear in the Safepay standalone release (and then merged also in the main product line).

Sorry for this delay, we had a crazy period with 2014 release and Safepay beta and beta2 as well.

FYI - certificate + pad information is currently available in Safepay standalone, and it was ported also in Classic Line 2014 products.
