Tasks Menu On Start Menu Panel For Bitdefender

Hi, this thread pertains to the earlier closed thread /index.php?showtopic=69725" rel="">https://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=69725

i'm afraid you are mistaken, or maybe my earlier description was a bit confusing; individually, this is not a setting/feature specifically governed by the OS, but by the application program itself. And I am making a query for a machine installed with Windows 7.

if I create a shortcut to bitdefender on the start menu, you notice it will expand with further choices :-

Bitdefender -> Manage Scans

-> System Scan

I would like to pin a shortcut without the ability to expand to this menu.

for example, in CCleaner, I can turn it off at Options>Advanced>Enable Windows Jump Lists Tasks.

  • Hello Magnus7,

    My apologies I misunderstood your request.

    Currently support for command lines has been removed. However you can run a default System Scan via a shortcut.

    C:\Program Files\Bitdefender\Bitdefender 2016\odscanui.exe when run it will start an immediate System Scan.

  • Thank you GM, that works. is it true that odscanui.exe runs a System Scan, and not Quick Scan?

    Also, on the launcher/bitdefender main panel, there is a quick launch square for Quick Scan by default. how do I change this to System Scan instead?

  • Hello,

    Yes, the odscanui performs a full system scan.

    At this time there is no option to change the shortcuts on the main interface.
