Password Manager Android does not function

When I start Password Manager on my phone the 'Logging in...' does not go away, and I cannot log in. Even so, when opening a website (Firefox), the PM options may appear on the screen. However, here it also doesn't function correctly; no user name of password appears in the fields. I'm running Android 9, and I've also tried reinstalling PM, but that didn't change the issue.
