Why Does Password Protection For Settings In My BD Internet Security Keeps Turning Off?



I would like to ask why does password protection in my Bitdefender Internet Security keeps turning off?

If I turn on password protection it will turn off again when I access or turn on my laptop. Is this a bug?

    Untill Thursday, i had Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit installed on my laptop and noticed the same issue as yours, the Password protection kept turning off by itself, in no particulat time intervals.

    On thursday i did a clean install of Windows 10 Pro 64-bit 22H2 build 19045.2486, installed the latest Windows updates, installed BD Total Security build, but the issue still persists, the Password protection keeps turning off by itself, in no particulat time intervals. Sometimes the Password protection turns off after 2 hours of work on my laptop, sometimes after laptop's restart, there are no strict rules when it turns off.

    So, i'm more than sure it is a bug.

    Anyway, do the steps below.

    First, take screenshot(s) of the issue

    and create a log file on your Windows device using Bitdefender Support Tool, by following these steps:

    Next, contact Bitdefender Consumer Support by e-mail:

    with short description of the issue.

    After that, you will get an automated reply by the Bitdefender Customer Care Team, with your ticket number.

    Now, in reply to that automated reply, you can send the screenshot(s) you already took and the log file you already created in the first step.

    Since you are all done, just wait for the support engineers to investigate your issue and find a solution to fix the issue.

    Remember that the screenshot(s) and the log file will help a lot to the support engineers for better and faster investigation on your issue and finding a solution.
