MS Windows 10 Store saying "not connected to the internet"
Hello,
I am on windows 10 Home edition and updated to the latest updates (it does that automatically every night),
i have only BitDefender as a protective product (no other anti virus / web protection / VPN ...)
before BitDefender everything worked perfectly, but after installing and scanning i cannot use Microsoft AppStore or whatsapp desktop, they both claim they are not connected to the internet, other apps works perfectly (like Firefox / chrome / Signal Messenger / Telegram / uTorrent ...)
in the Microsoft Store i have a button to check connectivity which leads to the Settings and Network tab, there is a loader animated gif, and after a few seconds the settings app crash (without me doing anything)
i have tried to disable everything on the BitDefender but no avail, i have also disabled windows firewall just to be on the safe side,
any help would be appreciated

Hi dan30I,
Welcome on the forum!
Several tips:
Maybe fully deinstall / reinstall Bitdefender.
Maybe a firewall issue which blocks these two sites (and no other sites):
Then maybe the exclusion to add:
You could ask the bitdefender support team:

thanks for the help,
except contacting support, i have already done all those (stated in my post)
i have decided to completely uninstall it since it did more damage then helped, once i uninstalled it some of the problems disappeared, but the rest had to be manually corrected (uninstall programs and reinstall, reset services, reset firewall rules, changing registry entries ...) i still haven't successfully undone everything, currently considering reinstalling windows 10 (since update and restore did not help)

Bitdefender Antivirus may be interfering with your internet connection. Here are a few things you can try to fix the problem:
1) Temporarily disable Bitdefender Protection: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/28557/
2) Reset your network settings. To do this, open the Settings app and go to Network & Internet > Status. Click on the "Network reset" button and then follow the instructions.
3) Uninstall the Bitdefender product using the uninstaller: https://www.bitdefender.com/files/KnowledgeBase/file/Bitdefender_2022_Uninstall_Tool.exe
4) Set WLAN config to run automatically:
- Open the Services console by pressing Windows key + R, typing services.msc, and then pressing Enter.
- In the Services console, locate the WLAN AutoConfig service. Double-click the WLAN AutoConfig service to open its properties.
- In the Startup type drop-down list, select Automatic.
- Click Start to initiate the WLAN AutoConfig service.
- Click OK to save the changes.
The WLAN AutoConfig service will now start automatically when you start your computer.
If the issue persists, kindly contact Bitdefender Support by visiting https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/. Depending on your selected product and the type of issue you are facing, you can get in touch with a support representative via email, chat, or phone.
If you choose email, you will receive a ticket number in your registered email. Kindly generate and attach the following logs to the ticket number you received in your registered email:
Generate Bitdefender BDsysLog: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/1922/
Generate Bitdefender Support Tool Log: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/1733/
Generate Bitdefender Connectivity Log: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/9689/
If the generated logs are large, you can upload them to Google Drive or WeTransfer (with a 7-day link validity for free users). Alternatively, you can ask the support team to provide you with the online link and password for Bitdefender Cloud, where you can upload the logs and share the upload link with the support team.
The support team will reply to the same email within the next 24-48 hours, excluding weekends.

I'll give it a try as well.
Go to Connections>LAN settings. Uncheck Use a proxy server for your LAN and save the changes. If Use a proxy server for your LAN is already unchecked and the Windows apps are still unable to connect to the Internet, uncheck Automatically detect settings. Save the changes and check if your issue has been fixed.
Also, make sure Windows has the latest update: Select check for updates now, and then select Check for updates. Or, select the Start button, then select Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for Updates. If there is an available update, select Install now.
Check this link as well:
