I researched and I couldn't find anything on how to fix this...but anyways when I install it, it will install 3/4 of the way then stop and say "Installation failed" I installed SO MANY TIMES and then deleted the old downloads...it didnt give me a log file or…

  • Is there a way to add an exception for the router which assigns the IP addresses for a network so that there are no more false blocked port scan messages any more? I disabled the block port scan function in the firewall because these blocked port scan messages were non stop and very irritating. Disabling this function…
  • I disabled it doing this: Firewall -> Advanced -> Block Port Scans (switch off) Until BitDefender creates a way to block port scans without needing that stupid message popping up every few seconds this will be the only solution. What kind of a response was that to his question Christian lol. I am running BitDefender…
  • @promise26: You really have too much time on your hands.. I know you people are complaining about the recession and stuff, but get a job. Seriously. Learn to deal with angry customers more efficiently and they might stop posting Catalin. BitDefender as a product has improved enormously from 2012. I couldn't use BD 2012 at…

  • Tech support has always been BitDefender's weakest point. Christian is the only one in tech support at the moment (if there are any other tech support members they aren't visible enough to warrant acknowledging) but he isn't there full time. They need to employ at least one dedicated full time tech support staff member, it…
  • I think your right, I've haven't seen any response from Bitdefender in weeks ... looks like everyones on their own ! Mozilla anything and Bitdefender DO NOT work together ! Please FIX IT ! Looks like they want us to troubleshoot our own problems and post the resolutions here so they can claim they thought them up -.-…
  • Posting on my progress again (wishes I could edit my posts instead of creating new ones each time). Ever since uninstalling Webroot Secure Anywhere Complete I haven't had the problem with disconnections. I'll need to look into which files need to be added as exceptions in each program at some point but hopefully that…
  • No ones even going to lock my thread for me?
  • Thanks for all the replies everyone Please lock this thread.
  • The problem doesn't seem to be isolated to FF. When this occurs I notice all browsing is disabled and all of a sudden there is some HD activity and then the browsing is back again.
  • Example: Server not found Firefox can't find the server at forum.bitdefender.com. Check the address for typing errors such as ww.example.com instead of www.example.com If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection. If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure…
  • I was wondering if someone could explain what "Stealth Mode" & "Generic" mean in the manage adapters section of the firewall settings? The sticky thread doesn't actually explain why we need to change the settings nor does it explain why they aren't the default settings to start with o.O
  • Currently running BitDefender Total Security 2013 Build 16.16.0.1349
  • Hello, I wanted to tell you the final result. I could not re-install Windows without deleting all partitions. I tried everything, using the help of an expert. So the final result is that I lost everything on my computer after installing Bitdefender. Now I'm starting from scratch and will be asking for a refund. A very…
  • I am interested in hearing more people's experiences with the current updated version of Bit Defender. When I tried it about 2 months ago the program was still horribly slow when it came to web browsing. There shouldn't be a NEED to disable anti phishing in Firefox in order to use the software at a reasonable level.
  • Just posting that I tried BitDefender with the most recent update and it is still horrible loading web pages. Fix this stuff up or just roll back to BitDefender 2011 (which was working MUCH better than this garbage).
  • Hi acang83 Thank you for the feedback. We are trying to solve this issue. Until then, I can only provide you a temporary solution: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?sho...st&p=125795 Thank you very much. If you can get IDM to integrate with BitDefender I might give it a try again. EDIT: Just read the other thread and…
  • Thank you guys for helping us find this incompatibility. We will try KeyScrambler to find where the incompatibility is, maybe we can make a workaround for AVC to work with it, although the problem seems to be in KeyScrambler. Next time I'll need to be more broad minded and check for incompatibilities with other security…
  • Issue solved, this is not bitdefender problem, I set AVC to Agressive and I can open Microsoft Office Word 2007 or Microsoft Office Outlook 2007. Microsoft Office 2007 its in conflict @ users who have instaled KeyScrambler LoadedModule[78]=C:\Program Files (x86)\KeyScrambler\KeyScramblerIE.DLL I turn off KeyScrambler and…
  • OK, I might have a clue about what's going on. I wonder if there's anything interesting if you scroll to the bottom of that window, it's possible that windows generated a minidump file that would be very useful to detect the error. If at the bottom of the error details is a path to a file ending in .dmp extension, you can…
  • @Duradel, could you please post a screenshot when one of the applications crashes, the error message with "application stopped working" is displayed, and click the "View problem details" button? It might give us a clue about what went wrong inside the application. Thank you! Hi Raul, The changes to the MS Office filenames…
  • Did it ever crashed, with the same error as the one posted by @Duradel here http://i961.photobucket.com/albums/ae97/Vo...dNotWorking.jpg ? Or it hanged, without crashing? Did BitDefender ever detected it and reported as malware? I've scanned the entire microsoft office directory with several scanning engines and none of…
  • @Duradel, I sent you a PM with further instructions, I'll wait for your reply. Thank you, Raul TOSA I know how to follow the steps outlined but probably won't have a chance to do that until the weekend unfortunately since it seems like it would be a little time consuming. Is it possible for a BD version to be released…
  • I attached the executable with extension renamed from EXE to TXT. Please download the file, rename it to AVCUserId.exe, run it, and post here what it shows. Thank you. Hello, This is what came up when running the executable: 0x7530F6FC249F3434 Hope it helps somehow.
  • Hello again, I calmed down a little from my previous post and I am willing to give BD another try if anyones willing to offer more suggestions. If I was able to add process exclusion's for all of the MS Office 2010 executables it would be ok but for some reason BD flags them all as being 'invalid' executable files. Is this…
  • I was wondering why they had a stock clearance sale and this is probably why. I really hope their tech support gets more involved with the forums rather than live chat since this is where the majority of users would post their questions. It makes sense to have questions posted on the forums because multiple users might…
  • I don't know why is not working for you. The autopilot works good, no problems with Office 2010, except the high ping problem(slowing internet connection) , try using their uninstalling tool, restart and then install it again and see if it works. Be sure to uninstall any other security products. Did you have Total Security…
  • To add exclusions to the AVC, this is from the Help menu: I can no longer use an application This issue occurs when you are trying to use a program which was working normally before installing Bitdefender. You may encounter one of these situations: • You could receive a message from Bitdefender that the program is trying…
  • I am using MS Office 2007 and did not have any problems under BDAV 2011 or now, using BDAV 2012. It is odd that you had to set exceptions for Office 2010 even running BDTS 2011. I have moved your topic to the Antivirus sub-forum as requested. BD tech support will be better able to respond to your issue when they read this.…
