Try to eliminate things one by one. FIrst uninstall BD, and see if problem persists. Then one by one uninstall any other program that has been put on until you find the culprit.
-
- there are 3 different suites AV, IS and Total Security. You are entitled to upgrade to IS. - Uninstall old, install new. - If everything is working fine at the moment, I dont see any reason to upgrade. Read the features on the Bitdefender website to see differences etc.

Try to do a repair install. Just start up the installer again, it will prompt you to either do remove or repair, then select for repair. It should copy all the necessary files again.

Hi, It cannot remove the infected files because they are locked. What I suggest it to boot into safe mode and delete the files manually. Press F8 when restarting the computer.

Dont count on a fix for this problem. A soon as BD11 is out you will be asked to upgrade if you are having this problem. They will not spend any time on a product that will be replaced in a month. This will count for any open/unsolved BD10 problem. To upgrade to BD11 will be free.

Hi, You are using the Free version of BitDefender. This does not have a function to exclude files or folders. Because it works via an On-Demand scan. You can only exclude files in an On-Access scanner, for which you need to pay for.
-
Hi, I presume after the uninstall you have rebooted your computer? Can you ping upgrade.bitdefender.com?
-
Hi, You can put them in your exclusion list to not scan the parent folder or the actual file. Secondly if you are sure these are false positives, send them to BitDefender, they will investigate the file and if it is not a virus they will flag them as beeing clean. The next time you then update your virus definitions the…

Fair enough. Have you tried unchecking the "scan outgoing" e-mail option?
-
Unfortunatly scanning via Gui in safe mode does not work. You have to do this via command line. See following How To for instructions: http://www.bitdefender.com/KB151
