Oh well I've got 351 days left on my license of another security suite so maybe in a year Bitdefender will get their act together ( and get a real support team). If not I'll just keep giving…

That's not much at all realizing all the modules that are running. Any current PC running today with even 4gigs or RAM is plenty enough to run BD and…

Not sure why you think BD is the cause here, Myself and thousands of others received the same update as you did and have no issues. Sounds like your having a compatibility problem with programs on your PC. Contact support run there tool get them some logs and go from there.

Did you use BD uninstall tool? You need to use that not the control panel uninstall.

23 hours ago, MarcHoppe said: Ok so let us see if we can help each other. Columbo is getting 5 minute updates after an hour on a 30Mbps connection. I got a 5:36 update an hour after the initial update of this morning which took 14:33 although it was a program update that required a reboot. This in on a 100Mbps wired…

Agreed, This morning was bad, booting up from shut down over night it was easily 20 mins+
-
Yup I got all that too, hopefully it address the slow updates.
-
Same here, slow, long updates..
-
Are you using BD uninstall tool? then reboot then install?
-
I've been with BD for many years it's always been this way, the DL takes a long time especially in the mornings when first starting the Pc up from shut down. Today we had a major update with a reboot so it took a little longer today.

-
Just checked wile updating on one of my w8.1 Pc's with 4 gigs ram nothing high to report all was well on that, will check others.

I agree I wish there was a icon always showing but there is not. You do not need to be sighed into your BD central you can check status by opening the app and checking your dash board, And your Web security tabs to make sure there green. Web security is the important one as it protects you wile on line.
