Hugh Boot Time Increase
I have noticed a significant increase in boot time from about 28 seconds to 2 minutes 10 seconds. I have tried a new SSD and many other ideas. What is the best way to temporarily not boot with Bit Defender so I can eliminate this software as a possible role because of the slowdown in boot?

I get a very brief message that Bitdefender determined that Casper.exe is harmful and the programs terminated. I have tried excluding…

Bad Or Corrupted Updates In The Future
This time I got lucky and avoided the Saturday morning fiasco as my computer was on standby. Lucky me. My thoughts on avoiding problematic updates in the future: Rather than automatically checking for updates every hour, is it wise to extend that period to two or three days? Obviously, you put yourself at risk for new…
