Is there any sort of application control in the cloud version of bitdefender?
Good day all
In the support documentation, it says that the application control module is only available in the on-prem instance.
Does this mean that there is no application protection on the cloud?
Is there any form of application control in the cloud instance, maybe by blocking the hashes or creating an IOC object that will do the blocking?
If not does anyone know if they are planning on adding this feature to the cloud?

Hello @priven ,
Although the Application Control module is not available for GravityZone Cloud there are other features that you can use to block an application using hashes:
You can use the Application Blacklisting from Network Protection → Content Control : .
Furthermore, with a Enterprise license you have the Blocklist from the Incidents menu:If you would need the Application Control module to be available for GravityZone Cloud you can open a Feature Request with our Product Management and they will evaluate your request and if accepted, it will be implemented in a future release.
Kind Regards,
Andrei

I see, thank you @Flexx and @Andrei_S Enterprise
So what happens in the case where an application is automatically blocked by BD that shouldn't be?
Hypothetically for some reason firefox gets blocked is there a way to add an exception or do I need to report it to BD support as a false positive or something
For refrence I am using GravityZone Business Security Premium

Both options are available:
- You can add an exclusion yourself as well.
In this case it's important to determine which of the GravityZone modules is blocking the file/application and then you can add an exclusion for it. For example to add an Antimalware exclusion you can follow these steps: - You can submit a false positive file to us and we will work with our Labs team to evaluate the detection. If it's found to be a false positive a new signature update will be issued by our product team. You can do so directly from the Sample Submission form:

2 - You can add an exclusion yourself as well.
