I have Bitdefender on my computer but somehow, my browser has been hijacked to Yahoo, how do I return it to chrome and remove the malware?
Follow these steps:
1) Reset Google Chrome to default: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/3296214?hl=en
2) Open the Run command and execute the following commands one by one:
temp – delete all the files in the folder.
%temp% – delete all the files in the folder.
prefetch – delete all the files in the folder.
3) Install uBlock Origin ( https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/ublock-origin/cjpalhdlnbpafiamejdnhcphjbkeiagm?hl=en&pli=1 ) and Ghostery ( https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/ghostery-tracker-ad-block/mlomiejdfkolichcflejclcbmpeaniij ) on your Google Chrome. Both extensions will help in blocking ads and trackers on your Google Chrome browser. Ensure you select all the available filters in them. Additionally, have a look at below stated link
