Stop adding "Bitdender: Safe" labels to emails

How can I stop the app from putting "Bitdender: Safe" labels on emails. For me they are a nuisance.

Thanks,

Jack

    Hello @weejee,

I noticed you posted here as well:

To disable Email Protection, follow these steps:

    1. Open the Bitdefender security solution installed on your Windows computer.

    2. Click on the Protection panel → Email Protection and simply remove your email from there. So click on the 3 dots next to your Outlook email address and select 'Remove'.

Note: this works only using the same device from which you added the address.

  • I stopped it on my Windows PC, but I want them stopped on my iPad as well. How do I do that.

  • I have the same original question, but want to keep Bitdefender Protection and its "Bitdefender: Dangerous" label of emails with issues. I just want Bitdefender to not label the safe emails, since I have no action to take and the label takes up valuable space in the email list.

    (I use Gmail, not Outlook)

  • I think that having only the dangerous label displayed would be a disadvantage, because you won't know for sure if the emails without labels have been successfully scanned or not.. yes, Email Protection does its job and scans everything, but the "safe" label does bring peace of mind serving the purpose of confirmation that the respective emails have been already scanned and are safe to be accessed, in my opinion.

I can think of the following scenario: the user just received an email without label, opens it immediately before Email Protection gets the chance to scan it and they get infected or worse. This may sound a bit far-fetched, but I think the developers didn't want to take any risks here, so they decided to display both labels anyway.

  • I would like to use the service without it labelling my mailbox. But I understand the reason why and I can accept the automatic labelling. Nevertheless I feel that the labels are taking much more space than needed and that's because Bitdefender probably wants to market their brand through the label. I see no need for a label with so many characters and I guess labelling emails with simply a green B for safe emails and a red "Unsafe" for the others would stop this discussion.
