Why can't I see any text?

I recently installed Bitdefender and I can't see any text in any of the features. Support suggested that I uninstall and reinstall the program. I tried that but it didn't help. Any suggestions on what else I can do?

    Kindly check if the following steps help you:

    1) Uninstall the Bitdefender product using the Add/Remove Programs option in Windows.

    2) To remove any remaining files, download and run the Bitdefender product uninstaller from this link: https://www.bitdefender.com/files/KnowledgeBase/file/Bitdefender_2023_Uninstall_Tool.exe

    3) Remove devices from your online Bitdefender Central: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/2795/

    4) Open the Run command and execute the following commands one by one:

    temp - delete all the files in the folder

    %temp% - delete all the files in the folder

    prefetch - delete all the files in the folder

    5) Run Disk Cleanup using this guide: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/disk-cleanup-in-windows-8a96ff42-5751-39ad-23d6-434b4d5b9a68

    6) Install the Bitdefender product: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/2844/

    This could be a wild guess, but check if it helps: go to "Language Settings" in Windows (use the search on the task bar) and install the "English (United States)" language pack. I've seen this work for a couple of users. I'll tag @camarie here for a more advised opinion. It seems that reinstalling didn't help and I can't think of anything else that could be causing the UI to display like this..

    Installing en-US language pack won't hurt and was recommended by the guys writing the application part as being one thing to try. It is not meant to be a solution (we did not reproduced internally at all) but it can be a step forward.

  • Update: I got word we've seen this in the past, it's a very uncommon and isolated issue and I would kindly ask you to contact the Support engineers because they will know exactly how to fix this.
