Convoluted BitDefender for Mac download process

Why can you not simplify it? Have a download link for the software (I could never find the trial download link), download it and install as per recommendations? Please also make the steps necessary to activate the software in recent versions of MacOS much more explicit. It is not simple and could be automated so that the user would have to submit the password for their Mac as needed. Everything in terms of system settings (truly an awful interface) is unnecessaruly complicated, both for the macOS as well as BitDefender application installation.

well I gave up on bit defender simply because it was a tremendous resource hog in terms of RAM, and there were two instances of the bitdefender icon in the menu bar showing up randomly for no good reason. I’m sure it’s a good application but even with 128 GB of RAM, it made me difficult for me to quickly do my AV tasks. I also noted that bit defender litters my Macintosh SSD, with dozens and dozens of files and even the uninstall bit defender app does not erase all of these files. Why not?
