Made the mistake of "upgrading" to SecurePass
I really like the Bitdefender suite and had everything working great with Password Manager. My license is up for renewal at the beginning of January. I was planning on upgrading the security suite.
I switched from Password Manager to SecurePass and I have to say I'm extremely disappointed in the product.
Unfortunately, I'm now going to have to look into other solutions, which is a bummer.

Bitdefender SecurePass is still in its development stages and will require time to become fully functional before it can replace Bitdefender Password Manager. In the meantime, you may revert to using Bitdefender Password Manager. Below is the link to the Bitdefender Password Manager Chrome extension. Kindly ensure you remove the Bitdefender SecurePass extension before installing and using the Bitdefender Password Manager extension..

Thank you for your response. I'm using Edge as my primary browser. Do you know if I can revert back to Password Manager for Edge? It's not available in the MS store.
Thanks again.

Thanks for the direct link! I was able to reinstall Password Manager in Edge and I'm up and running again.
When I went to the Chrome store and did a search on Bitdefender it only comes up with Secure Pass.
I really hope someone from the Bitdefender product team fixes SecurePass before deprecating Password Manager. I can't believe it was rolled out like this.

I'm totally unhappy with Bitdefender's SecurePass. I've had nothing but trouble trying to do something as simple as accessing password items. I've been using Apple's password manager in the meantime.
Is there anything else in the works from Bitdefender to replace or fix SecurePass?

Below is the link to the Bitdefender Password Manager Chrome extension. Kindly ensure that you remove the Bitdefender SecurePass extension before installing and using the Bitdefender Password Manager extension. The password manager will still be active and can be used until it becomes completely non-functional. Ultimately, you will need to switch to Bitdefender SecurePass.

I' regret to hear you feel this way. There are some improvements on the roadmap for SecurePass and they will become available gradually, as the product's feature set is being enhanced.

I just got off the phone with a very helpful Bitdefender support person and have received help from Alex (above) and others. I must agree wholeheartedly with the above comments about how disappointing SecurePass is. I, too, cannot believe it was rolled out this way. Developers had to know we users would compare it with Password Manager—looking for the improvements. But it's much, much worse—like "New Coke" when they rolled that out. My suggestion is pull SecurePass (admit defeat) and let us use Password Manager until you can develop something better. I have been using Bitdefender for many years (I used Wallet before Password Manager) and am unable to defend, even a bit, SecurePass. Once Password Manager goes away—which I understand is soon—I'll reluctantly be looking for a better password manager. There are many options if you check them out on various cyber and consumer sites. Again, so disappointed!

I, too, just had an extremely disappointing problem with being forced into using SecurePass - except that it was unusable when I got into it. Yesterday I couldn't get into my PassworkManager account, with an error message directing me to contact support. Long story short, I ended up being directed to reinstall PM. Once I deleted it the only thing available to install was SP and I was told that it was replacing PM (first I'd heard of this) and once on SP my vault was empty so I was in a little panic (lesson learned to keep a backup file of my passwords!) I got the runaround - talking to AI, a real person, and then a support ticket that has lingered for over 24 hours. But but finally today I tried the chat again and got a person who gave me a link to reinstall PM and everything is there. It's extremely frustrating Bitdefender seems to be running this transition by the seat of its pants. If Bitdefender wants to use me as a guinea pig to work out their kinks, I would appreciate a warning that this is happening and then they are welcome to pay me for my time (they already owe me for a couple of hours) Or at least give me the product for free until it's ready for full use. This has been very disappointing since up til now I've been very happy with my Bitdefender experience.

Per message from Flexx, January 27, here's a link to download the app.

The Bitdefender Password Manager extension is still available on the Google Chrome Web Store. You can download it using the link provided below.
However, kindly make sure to export your password list, as the Bitdefender Password Manager, despite currently functioning, may be discontinued at any time in the near future.

@Flexx @RBoy2023 @Alexandru_BD
Hello.
The Bitdefender Password Manager is NOT available on the Chrome Web Store:
Regards.

I can still find it using Flexx's link -
And I know for a fact that it was never made public, it was meant to be accessed through Central only, since you do require a subscription to be able to use it, so it doesn't really work in the same way as the other apps there. It's still there, but hidden, as far as I can tell.

It is still available. Below is the image for the same.
As @Alexandru_BD mentioned, the Bitdefender Password Manager extension is on the verge of being discontinued and may have been archived, making it difficult to find through a direct search. That’s why I use the third-party website , which provides direct links to archived extensions. If an extension is archived, it links to the Chrome Web Store; if permanently removed, it offers standalone .crx files. The Bitdefender Anti-Tracker extension, once available on https://chrome-stats.com/, is now only accessible via Bitdefender Central or standalone products. Since it has been permanently removed from the Chrome Web Store, users without a Bitdefender subscription can install it using the .crx file.
Unlike https://haveibeenpwned.com/ which hosts the largest collection of data breaches on the internet, https://chrome-stats.com/ holds the largest database of web browser extensions for Google Chrome. For Mozilla Firefox, it is https://firefox-stats.com/, and for Microsoft Edge (Chromium), it is https://edge-stats.com/. Nice comparison, though—lol!

I recently gave your BitDefender SecurePass a solid effort on 4 Windows 10 computers, using both Firefox and Chrome browsers. I experienced terrible results with it on all 4 computers. On each computer, I daily had to re-authenticate SecurePass by logging into my BitDefender customer account before I could then enter my SecurePass master password and start using SecurePass.
I tried working with the BitDefender support team, but that just turned me into a BitDefender Beta-Tester. I tried things I came up with and reported them to BitDefender, but BitDefender never offered up any kind of solution, they only asked more questions of me.
I have now moved back to BitDefender Password Manager, which works extremely well. Unfortunately, SecurePass is a complete flop. My advice to BitDefender, as somebody who was heavily involved in developing telecommunication engineering & drafting software during my career, is cut your losses now, shut down SecurePass, go back to Password Manager, which is a far superior product. Continue to make Password Manager available to your customers. Don’t force your customers elsewhere.
If BitDefender forces me off Password Manager I will go elsewhere. I will reject any future BitDefender password solution no matter how wonderful you make it sound. This experience with BitDefender SecurePass was extremely bad and time consuming.

I'm starting to think about switching to a product from another company. Anyone have a recommendation?
BD PM was working great for so long but lately it is very glitchy. I logged on to the extension earlier today - all seemed fine. Now a few hours later when I try to use it, it seems to be logged on but it's not working and I get this message:
We are sorry, an error has occurred, please contact support 'Error - Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'length')'

See my message on this thread from Feb. 1 about the problems I had when I contacted support before. Now I frequently get error messages for which the only fix seems to be to reinstall the extension. Too much of a hassel and it does not give me confidence that Password Manager hasn't been essentially abandoned by BD as they try to force Secure Pass on us. Which also leads me to wonder what's going on with BD and if I should trust their other products. It's hard to trust a company with keeping my devices and passwords secure if it seems like they don't know what they are doing.
If anyone here has a suggestion about how to make either of these products work for me, or why I should continue to trust this company, I'd love to hear it. Otherwise, I'm going to be shopping around for other optinos. Too bad since I've been a happy BD customer for a long time.
