How to access detailed error messages in SecurePass?

I'm getting an error trying to open up particular accounts with passwords associated with them in SecurePass: unfortunately that error is a nondescript message on my Android phone, and isn't even specified in Windows (the window just hangs on the swirling "loading" type screen). Is there a log of detailed error messages in SecurePass that I can look at to help narrow down why I can't open these particular accounts?

  • My suspicion is that these account might have become corrupted somehow, because I recently changed their names. But I don't have any way of confirming that, or figuring out how to get my passwords back, or (possibly) how to transmit the information back to the SecurePass developers as a bug report.

  • Hello,

It would be useful to know some information about those items - if they were shared (either by someone else to you, or by you to someone else, if they were put in groups), and if you used any special characters or another alphabet when renaming them. The developers could not reproduce this when renaming the accounts, only in some isolated sharing scenarios. An option to view more detailed logs is unavailable.
But if you want to recover information, I think you could try an export.

For the record, there will be a dedicated area to report bugs and provide feedback to the SecurePass development teams, in the actual app, but this is being worked on as we speak.

  • The passwords aren't shared, I just use them on both my phone and computer. They hung for a really long time when I updated them (I did it on my phone and the screen turned off just sitting there with the squiggly circle still going). The names didn't update initially either, it took several attempts before they appeared correct. (And now I can't access them at all.)

No special characters or alphabets in the name. I did put them into a folder, I don't know if that counts as a "group", but that folder location didn't change.

I actually tried the export option on my computer before I submitted this, and it didn't work then. I tried it again at your urging and I'm able to get the export in plaintext, but the usernames and passwords are missing for those entries in the JSON.
