Bitdefender suddenly misidentifying legitimate emails as being spam?
Kind of a strange issue, but Bitdefender has suddenly decided that legitimate emails that I've been receiving for years are now spam and are being flagged with this prefix [spam][Bitdefender detected potentially unsolicited bulk email]. I'm pretty sure that emails originating from Bitdefender.com, VA.gov, and even .mil mail servers, to name a few, are probably safe… No idea why this suddenly began happening. Is there any way to "train" Bitdefender's antispam to realize that not all bulk emails are unsolicited?

I am having the same issue. I do not have Bitdefender's email protection enabled. I have the same question as Alaska Wolf asked.

Hi,
If you are using Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird you can easily whitelis the senders of the messages, so that they are no longer marked as spam. This can be done either by adding their email address, or domain. Bring up Bitdefender, go to Protection → Antispam → Manage Friends → add the email addresses or domains there:
In the Settings tab you can also activate an option to submit legitimate samples that were incorrectly detected as spam by Bitdefender, to help them improve the detection algorithms. You can either activate this option or set it to ask every time. Furthermore, the Antispam module also offers ways to block emails that are encoded with Asian or Chyrilic characters, thus ensure that these options are enabled/disabled depending on your preferences and the content of the emails you are receiving.
I recommend checking your email provider’s built-in spam filter as well, to ensure it's configured properly.
I hope this helps, let me know if the detection improves after applying the steps above.
