Bitdefender Is Continuously Uploading ... My Whole Hard Drive?
A few weeks ago I purchased Bitdefender Internet Security 2015.
I have a perf meter in my W7 taskbar showing me in realtime the exact rate of network traffic, both down and up.
Prior to installation, when no application software was running there would be very little network traffic; although it goes up and down, typically <10k bps, sometimes falling to 0.
To try Bitdefender out I first installed it on my laptop, after first cleanly uninstalling the previous product.
In the first few days after installation there was greatly increased traffic both ways, all the time, often 100k bps.
I ran a scan, and it returned nothing. My machine was, and is, completely clean according to both bitdefender (and my previous AV).
But still now, more than a week later, it uses the network continuously, averaging about 25k bps, with uploading traffic usually greater than downloading.
What is bitdefender doing? Uploading my whole hard drive?
Why is there no clear disclosure and option to stop this?

I was looking for that same thread this morning, but was in the wrong sub-forum (Firewall). Nice recall there, ozziebear
