Is there a difference in the two programs interfaces or are they the same and one just has support for more devices from Bitdefender Central?

They are one and the same. The difference in the name indicates the subscription type.

The normal Total Security subscription is just the Windows application.

The Total Security Multi-Device is a bundle, it features the Total Security for Windows, for MAC we have the Anti-Virus for MAC and for Android Mobile Security.
