Can't hide extensions

Does anyone know why you can't hide file name extensions --- Bitdefender is blocking the extensions from being hidden - so I have staff working and sometimes they rename file names, and they remove the extension..


-- its Bitdender doing this since when I remove it, Microsoft OS can easily hide extensions, install Bit again, and the problem comes back


-- this is a really bad decision by Bit, it really kills productivity in the office
