What Happened to "BitDefender Awake"?

For a while, BD was very slow to do anything on my system after booting up. Then, after a while BitDefender Awake! popped up.


How daft, I thought.


Then it went away and I've not seen it since.


So, what was this, what was it doing and where has it gone?


Is BitDefender always sleeping now?

    That popup was stealing window focus, I'm glad its gone.

    Me too, but what happened to it? Removed due to user complaints?


    I was curious as all the e-mails I get from support have it at the bottom.

    Are you referring to the Security Widget?  It is still available and can be turned on/off in "Settings".


    I think the brief pop-up saying "Bitdefender Awake!" was discontinued in the 2017 product line because of complaints from gamers, in particular.
