Traffic Light on Safari

I'm using the Mac version of BitDefender 2017. When I use Firefox the traffic light displays as green/red in the toolbar. In Safari, the traffic light shows, but without any colour. I have to click on the traffic light to determine whether or not the site is safe. Any ideas on fixing this?

Try to Disable and enable the the traffic lights on your safari browser and if the issue still persist, remove and install the plugin again then also try to reset your safari browser.

Try to clear the cache and cookies of your safari browser or reset safari, it might help , btw are you using the extension or the main program itself?

That is the Apple policy regarding extensions on Safari.

They are all greyed out.

I've tried deleting cookies and clearing the cache. It doesn't work unfortunately. I'm using the extension. Obviously, the Bitdefender program is always running.
