Does Antivirus for Mac have Ransomware protection?
Just a few days ago, I began my free trial of Antivirus for Mac. I would really like to buy it after my free trial. But does it have any kind of Ransomware protection?
Thank you for your help!

Hello Robert,
Antivirus for Mac will detect ransomware through virus signatures. It also has an additional feature that can be used to enhance the protection on your Time Machine backups, thus ensuring they cannot be encrypted.0 -
Does above means that its recommended to avoid adding backup drive to "Exception" list?
I'm always adding it in order to speed up backups etc... but maybe its a wrong approach from security point of view? Can you advise?

No, it's alright.
The malware would be running from your computer, and will be trying to encrypt the backups. It won't be running from the backups.0 -
