Backup and Sync from Google Issues

Hello everyone,
I recently installed BitDefender Total Security, and I noticed it is not allowing Backup and Sync from Google to sync (just says "Preparing for Sync..."). The firewall allows the app, but it is somehow still being blocked. Does anyone have any advice on how I can get this to work?

My first suggestion would be to ensure that the application is up to date. In case the situation persists, in order to figure which module is actually interfering with Google Backup and Sync, please follow the steps below:
