Password Unencrypted error on certain sites?
I have recently started using Bitdefender Total Security 2020 instead of another well known security software, first impressions are excellent.
However I have a problem which may not be anything to do with Bitdefender. I run a number of small websites and I have found that I am getting an error when trying to access these sites and the sites are blocked by Bitdefender with the following message ' An attempt to send your password unencrypted, in plain text, was prevented on this page. '
Any idea what is causing this? and is there a solution?

Usually this type of message appears when a website does not have a security certificate configured, due to the fact that none of the information sent to the website are encrypted, thus, your privacy is at risk. We highly recommend configuring a security certificate for your websites in this case.0 -
Thanks for the explanation.
However there are many websites running with incorrect security certificate configurement. I can understand a warning being given with online banking websites etc. The Bitdefender certificate configurement just seems over the top. Is there a way to disable this warning?0 -
You can add an exclusion for the aforementioned website by following the steps below:
• Open Bitdefender, click Protection.
• Click Exceptions, below Online Threat Prevention.
• Add the website's URL and click Save.
Kindly let me know if the situation persists after following these steps.0 -
