Bitdefender interfering with Hulu app

Recently switched to BitDefender Total Security from Trend Micro. It's causing an issue with my Hulu desktop app: the app has trouble contacting the server, and then if I try to stream anything (either through the app once it gets through, or from Hulu.com on Firefox) I get a popup from Hulu complaining that I'm using an adblocker.

I've tried whitelisting Hulu.com in the app to no avail. Any known solutions?
