Completely uninstall Bitdefender Total Security 2020?
I mean COMPLETELY, not the intepretation that Bit Defender has, which is to leave all the files still on and processes running in the background which cannot be deleted or tasks ended from task manager (neither unticking the processes in msconfig start up because they just re-tick themselves!).
BD always prevents Windows 10 from restoring from restore point so I have to do the basic uninstall from apps but this isn't enough for me to run Windows restore so I have to use third party software to unlock BD's files and force delete them, BD doesn't like this and will cause explorer to crash but I manage it eventually while having to leave a few files on because I just cannot remove them, all while in safe mode.
There must be a simpler way?

Most anti-virus programs interfere with restore points being successfully restored, not just BD. Restore points themselves are not reliable. I have had the best success running restore points in Safe Mode.
As for uninstalling Bitdefender 2020 Total Security, see this link and follow the instructions. Then follow up with the dedicated uninstaller, which you can download from this BD web page.
