Memory & CPU usage of BDLDaemon

Hi.

On my Mac running Catalina, in "Activity Monitor," BDLDaemon is almost always at the top of the CPU usage list. Today, I noticed that is is consuming over 600 MB of real memory.

Is anybody having similar experiences? The suggestion on some fo the Bitdefender pages seems to be shut the "Bitdefender Shield" off. This is why I am paying a subscription; I don't want to shut if off.

Any thoughts? Are the developers looking at this?
