Scan taking very long time

Hello Community,

I just downloaded Bitdefender for the first time today and have started my first scan running. So far it has taken 2 hours 40 minutes to scan just 8%. I understand that many factors can affect scan time (CPU, RAM, disk size etc.) but this seems rather excessive and is far longer than the other anti-virus programmes I've used on this same device.

My computer is a Lenovo, i3 with 8GB of RAM and a 1TB 5400 hard disk.

Is this normal and will subsequent scans take this long?

Kindly collect bitdefender logs (https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/8919/) and drop an email to bitdefender support at bitsy@bitdefender.com regarding your query .Attach the logs to the email. They will reply back asap.
