when I try to install a downloaded file it's blocked as malicious, I've looked in the Protected tab but there is no Safe File option can someone help please.

    There is no relation between file downloaded detected as malware and safe file. Safe file is only useful in ransomware attack, so that the files and folder in the safe files do not get encrypted.

    Can you try disabling the real time protection of bitdefender and downloading the file, without executing uploading it to virustotal and then sharing the virustotal link. Afterwards, re enable the real time protection of bitdefender.
