Serious Issues with BitDefender on Catalina including kernel panics....
Running 2018 Mac mini, 10.15.7 and tried again installing Bitdefender. Immediately had weird issue like Music stuttering and finally a kernel panic while scanning files which restarted the machine. A little history: had this same issue about 4 months ago and finally uninstalled BD. The mini then ran for 89 days without a hiccup 7/24. No restarts, no hangs, just running like it suppose to do. Installed a Mac OS update, ran it for another 3 weeks again with no issues. Figured I give BD another go especially since it had been behaving on a 2018 MBP running Big Sur. After installing I had multiple kernel panics, beachballs and hung mouse. Was just about ready to reinstall the OS when the uninstaller finally ran to the end (took 3 tries and now everything seems to be back to normal.
Any idea what is going on?
